HPFP Specifications

Mechanical fuel pump flow has been one of the primary limiting factors for the aftermarket when trying to increase the power output of the GM direct injection V8 engines. The Lingenfelter Big Bore direct injection fuel pump for GM Gen V V8 applications provides an increase in fuel flow capacity over the stock LT1/L86 and LT4 fuel pumps, expanding the range of performance of these engines. At 12.0 mm in bore size, the Lingenfelter Big Bore pump flows over 30% more than the stock L86 & LT1 pump and nearly 10% more than the LT4 pump. 

With the combination of LPE GT35 camshaft with a 7.85 MM fuel pump lobe, the Big Bore pump flows 40% more than a stock LT4 pump and stock LT4 camshaft.
Tested to provide over 1400 horsepower (0.52 BSFC) of fuel flow for a turbocharged LT4 engine on VP Motorsports 109 fuel

  • Requires consistant low side fuel pressure of 68 PSI or greater

Injector Specifications
LT4 +30% Injectors:

Static Flow Rate: 23g/sec (2000cc/min @ 100bar)

– 50% more flow than production LT1/L86 injectors (15.3g/sec)
– 30% more flow than production LT4 injectors (17.7g/sec)
– E85 compatible

Maximum Pressure:

LT4 +30%:
221bar / 3200psi

LT4 +50%:
221bar / 3200psi

LT4 +70%:
193bar / 2800psi
These are massive injectors and you should not always expect stock like drivability, especially on pump gas.
We have seen issues with huge pressure overshoots after shifting on manual cars, which can cause misfire on these injectors.
On these cars you may have to reduce pressure.

Requirements:
Needs upgraded low pressure and high pressure fuel pump to extract full potential.

Combinations and Power Potential (LT4 +30%):
Perfect for 750-850whp on E85, if combined with a minimum +32% cam lobe for the LT4 OEM-HPFP (up to 3200psi) or the LPE HPFP.
Good for 1000whp on blends or race gas with turbos, if combined with a minimum +32% cam lobe for the LT4 OEM-HPFP (up to 3200psi) or the LPE HPFP.
Good for 1000whp applications on full E85 (TVS2650, Whipple, F1A) if combined with a minimum +32% cam lobe for the LT4 OEM-HPFP (up to 3200psi) or the LPE HPFP and meth injection.
Good for 1000whp applications on full E85 (TVS2650, Whipple, F1A) in combination with our XFP3200 belt driven fuel pump.
Good for 1200whp on race gas with turbos in combination with our XFP3600 belt driven fuel pump.

For higher output applications our brand new XDI LT4+70% DI Fuel Injectors are available.
These work good with the LPE big bore pump on NA (e.g. Nitro-Methane), Turbo (low boost at low rpm) or centrifugal superchargers.

*all of these numbers are assuming you have all other supporting modifications within your setup.

The LPE Big Bore + LT4+70% Injectors WILL NOT BE ENOUGH in combination with a 2650 TVS or Whipple blower !!!
You will be PUMP LIMITED on these combos especially using E85. The 70% injectors do not help over the 30% injectors in this combination.
We would recommend our XFP3200 + 70% injectors, or as a band aid heavy supplemental fueling around peak torque (meth, pfi).
